Dedicating Your Child
I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. (1 Corinthians 3:6-9)
Child dedication is a commitment between your family, God, and the Mercer Creek Church Body. It is the start of a journey where we plant and water seeds and God forms those seeds into fruit! The Mercer Creek family thinks it's great that you are considering this step! Know that this is important to God. He will be with you and will equip you every step of the way.
We want to celebrate, pray, and prepare with you as you dedicate your child. To do so, there will be two gatherings: a short meeting with all the families to connect and receive some training, then a celebration night to dedicate your child.
